there is more than one person making the final decision it is best that everyone is there to meet with the contractor. It's the best opportunity to ask as many questions as possible; Multiple sets of ears and opinions listening to the contractor and their
strategy. Not having to reiterate details saves you and the contractor valuable time later.
2. Prepare a ‘Wish List’ and have a good idea
of what you want for your upcoming renovation. There is nothing worse for a contractor than not understanding your vison or not getting any straight answers from their client. Your vision doesn't have to be perfect, you just have to have a general idea of
what you want to achieve. We can help with the finer details. There are many sources you can research to help; On-line, magazines, home improvement shows and our web page. Any pictures and clippings that have inspired you would be a good idea to have on hand
during the quoting process. A picture says a thousand words.
3. Have a realistic budget! You can't expect $10,000 worth of work on a $3,000 budget. If the required budget
is out of reach, we strongly recommend you remain patient until you can afford the proper quality renovation that you are dreaming of. Fishing for the cheaper prices can become a nightmare leaving you with bigger problems. The purpose of a renovation
is to generate a better quality of life for you and your family while adding great resale value to your home.
